Online Rest Hour

Online Rest Hour, restorative, Singapore, wellness, mental health

It's time to transit from our daily hustle to daily hush. Rest. Immerse in different rest practices in these online experiential classes.

We can understand rest, but how many of us really get rest?

The Rest Hour is a series of online mini classes to support you in receiving the different types of rest that your body may need. We are all build differently, and not everyone needs more sleep to feel well-rested (know of someone who is always exhausted even after more sleep?). So the key thing is: what kind of tired are you, and what kind of rest do you need?

Taking our learning from Daring to Rest (Karen Brody) and Sacred Rest (Saundra Dalton-Smith), we will explore physical rest, mental rest, emotional rest, creative rest, spiritual rest, sensory rest, and social rest. The focus, though, is on the practices and the experiences. Some of the practices include gentle movements, breathing exercises and nature connection exercises.

Rest is a felt-sense. This is a space to learn, experience and feel rest in the comfort of your home. Less talk, more rest; uplifting one another from rest.

Classes are perfect for you if you are:

  • feeling stressed, having mild anxiety, or not sleeping well in these challenging times

  • wanting to learn how to rest better

  • curious about the different types of rest and which one(s) you may need more

  • longing to experience being more rested, calmer and uplifted

  • seeking some gentle social connections despite physical distancing.

In this frantic world we live in, she hopes to share a safe and nurturing space for people to rest in the gap of no-thing-ness, honouring self, then rising up and thriving in the well-rested versions of themselves. Working with individuals, groups and organisations, Youmin's intention is to support them to rise up as well-rested leaders. She has also guided and taught at overseas workshops, retreats and seminars including Finland, Bangkok, Chiang Rai and the Philippines.
