Daring to Rest for Women of Singapore (A Good Pitch Project 2019) [6 Dec]

  • The Senses Therapy 228a South Bridge Road Singapore, 058777 Singapore (map)
Daring to Rest Women of Singapore, yoga nidra, Good Pitch Project 2019

This project is one of the winning projects during A Good Pitch 2019! Supported by A Good Space and The Company of Good. This project supports under-served women. Complimentary slots are reserved for under-served, dis-advantaged and/or vulnerable women.

Daring To Rest is a rest movement. This project is a social project in Singapore that aims to bring women of diverse backgrounds and social divides to thrive together. It is a believe that a new kind of leadership is required - well-rested leadership. This ‘leadership’ is intended to be defined broadly and all-encompassing - it is the leadership at home, at work, in the community, within small circles of friends, of self, etc. Furthermore, the project also hopes to promote more self-care for women and adopt the narrative that ‘rest is productive’.

There are 3 similar runs for this class, on 3 separate dates. You only have to register for one class/one date.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We lie down and rest. We will learn and experience a gentle meditation technique - yoga nidra, that eases us to let go of tensions in our bodies and minds. In the tranquil space of no-thing, we will be guided to tune into our deep inner knowing, our intuition, our feminine wisdom. Through guided reflections and sharing circles, we will connect deeper with our selves, with other women, with our relationships with rest-ing.
